I was introduced to artist Mark Khaisman by my mother who while traveling happened upon an exhibit featuring his work. These pieces are made entirely out of translucent packing tape that has been applied to plexiglass and placed in front of a light box, revealing incredible shadow and depth. I find this unconventional method by which Khaisman interprets scenes and images to be quite intriguing and mesmerizing.
